Toyota Kirloskar Motors will be launching the Fortuner facelift tomorrow in India. The SUV has been spotted doing test runs on multiple occasions in the past. The variant details, color options, and engine specifications of the facelifted version have also been leaked online a few days ago. The launch invite teasing the 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift has already been shared across. The SUV will be offered in a total of two trims - Standard and Legender. A total of 10 variants will be offered in which 9 variants will be in the Standard trim and one variant will be in the Legender trim.

In terms of design, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift will get minor updates in the form of a large mesh-pattern grille, redesigned LED headlamps with LED DRLs, a revised front bumper, and a new set of alloy wheels. Besides slim LED tail-lights, the rear end of the SUV remains similar to the outgoing model. Inside the cabin, the Fortuner facelift receives subtle changes. It gets a larger, 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, and wireless charging among many others.

Under the hood, the Fortuner facelift will get two engine options. The 2.7-litre petrol engine will produce a maximum power of 164 bhp and peak torque of 245 Nm. The 2.8-litre turbo diesel engine will generate 204 bhp power and 500 Nm torque. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual, 6-speed manual, and a 6-speed automatic. However, the top-end trim is expected to get a six-speed automatic gearbox only.

We can expect the upcoming Fortuner facelift to be slightly pricier than its predecessor. Currently, the standard Fortuner retails in the price range of Rs 28.66 lakhs - Rs 34.43 lakhs (ex-showroom). Upon being launched, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner facelift will compete against the likes of the Ford Endeavor and MG Gloster.
